This section explains what a Catalog is, how they are referenced, how they are created, etc.
A Catalog is a collection of similarly-typed objects. Almost everything in the Authoring Tool is organized into Catalogs. For example, a [permalink id=2030 text=’Location’] Catalog is a collection of explicitly specified locations; a [permalink id=2194 text=’Collectible’] Catalog is a collection of Collectible items. A Catalog is created and filled by a content creator.
The items of a Catalog are referenced in the parameters of [permalink id=1848 text=’Resources’] and other Catalog items. For example, a Location Task Resource takes a Location from a Location Catalog as a parameter.
To create a new Catalog, navigate to your project’s dashboard, select Assets and then select the Create New button. Then select the appropriate Catalog Type and name your Catalog.
