Location

Description

A Location type is used to specify a real-world location. It uses coordinates to specify a point in the world. A Location can contain a list of Location Story Tags and Location Types. Both these properties specify attributes about the Location. For example, when creating a new coffee-shop Location, a Location Story Tag for that Location might be “cafe” and/or “coffee-shop”.

Your project must contain a Location Catalog in order to create custom Locations. To create a new Location in the Location Catalog Editor, click on the map to choose the coordinates for your new Location and then fill in the additional parameters.

Parameters

  • Story Tags

A list of Location Story Tags. Story tags can be used to filter Locations when writing scripts.

  • Name

The name to display for this Location.

  • Location Types

A list of Location Types. Location types can be used to filter Locations when writing scripts.

  • Coordinates

A Coordinate parameter. Can be auto-filled in the Location Catalog Editor by clicking on the map to choose the coordinates for a new Location.

In nearly all cases, it is sufficient to give the Location a name and Coordinates. Click Apply to Save any changes and click Delete to delete the Location.
